The Invisible Man marked a key moment in Thunder Road’s creative development.

The show was funded by Arts Council England, and was the most successful selling studio show for Harrogate Theatre in 2017.

This forged exciting new relationships with influential industry contacts inc: Georgian Theatre Royal, Brewery Arts Centre and Halifax Square Chapel, paving the way for a National Tour of Body Snatcher, programmed into venues, Autumn 2019.

Above all, the project revealed the company’s ability to develop relationships with a younger audience, who were out in force for all performances, particularly for both post-show Q&A’s. Their feedback, along with the number of reviewers and programmers who attended the show, was very positive (see below).

The confidence inspired by this feedback led to the desire to build on this relationship and target a younger audience. Emboldened by the success of the project Thunder Road are now creating exciting new work that tackles crucial issues of today.
